This is now a Goo appreciation thread.
“Mote” is probably my favorite Lee Ranaldo song, but I’m not really familiar with the stuff in between, like, Washing Machine and Rather Ripped.
RIP Prodigy

all their 90s and 00s albums (except NYC Ghosts and Flowers which is aight) range from great to amazing

Damn bro, Mote is so great. So is Wish Fulfillment off Dirty.
I think that Lee Ranaldo started to really shine from Goo and on. Consistently had the sweetest, most heart-warming song on each album. The Paul McCartney of Sonic Youth that they actually used as their George Harrison (secret weapon). 😂
Out of the albums you haven't heard, I recommend A Thousand Leaves, Murray Street and especially Sonic Nurse. Nurse is very consistent and mature, one of their best albums, hands down.. they've really polished their songwriting by that point, and it's a no-bullshit album, just straight up great rock.
Murray Street is more out there and it rocks but I find it a bit dry for some reason. A Thousand Leaves is more psychedelic than their other stuff and has some amazing songs but also annoying songs and I find it a bit pretentious.
