SOUTHSIDE CHICAGO Sociopolitical R&B-Soul "BOSCOE"
This is a group that originally was called "From the Womb to the Tomb" The lp cover says it all what you are about to listen to.
This lp was previously issued with 500 copies on their House of Chad label. It looks like they were adamant on keeping the lp rare. Some band's love to do this.
This sextet cut their teeth at local spot's like Green Bunny Lounge and High Chaparral. Musician's who sat in with the band include: Tyrone Davis, Garland Green, Syl Johnson.
This lp will be a 180 surprise for the drop fam. The lp follows a conceptual arc and the boys have a strong message of a war for peace and fighting oppression no matter how bleak it may seem. A very raw band outfit that offers the listener a solid level of musicianship. 8 tracks only 40 minutes of a band that I'm positive some of you didn't even know you were looking for. With it's fiery raw blend of funk, soul, r&b & jazz spoken word with energetic brass horns in interesting arrangements. it gives you a moment to ponder if Chicago had other acts like this.
Finally after years of building a interest in japan, the record came back to american shores reissued on Numero Group for ALL OF US to discover. I think I may have made a post a few years ago on this. For most of you this will be new.

This question I have a running joke answer: madlib or mf doom? They seem to be the best 2 with samples from private press releases.
What a wondrous group; thank you immensely, OP, as always anyway.
