Its a tough situation all around, but it seems like by the vocab theyre using they might be held in a jail (different than a prison) and under supervision up until they're 21 or even after. Think the best outcome is them being rehabilitated primarily which can definitely still be done. And if they don't as people seem to think, they'll be in a prison relatively soon after.

Feel bad for the his family tho but i don't really view them being handed the book in prison as fixing the situation either. Feel like we are held up on the concept of prison being some sort of revenge when it really isn't
