Its sad to see. People jumping to very close minded stances. Every muslim i have ever met have been beyond kind and helping. I went to school with thousands of them.
People need to see beyond stereotypes.

Hispanics and Black people are still actively discriminated against and placed in ghettoes in the US, yet we don’t respond with extremism.
In addition, y’all love to act like muslims have historically been saints, that are fair and inclusive to everyone! When in reality, the average Muslim’s ideals are extremely similar to a Far-Right bigot’s ideals.
the western world can't run amok the Middle East, destabilize entire regions and governments ever since the Sykes-Picot Agreement, murder thousands upon hundreds of thousands of innocent Muslim civilians, introduce and shake hands with extremist governments and leaders, and more, and then expect Muslims to not be angry or vitriolic at them for what they've done (while continuing to do so to this very day!).
the religion has issues, like any other religion. the region is inundated with far-right ideology and religious fervor, but those terrorists are because of the West's meddling for more than a century in the Middle East and North Africa, let's not sugarcoat it. had the colonial powers not partitioned the Ottoman Empire in order to fit their imperialistic desires, among the countless other atrocities and misdeeds committed by Western powers since then, we would not be in this thread right now talking about terrorists beheading folk in France.
and guess what, entire continents such as Africa and South America have been left to dry and toil over endless conflict because of colonialism and neo-colonialist efforts. you think there aren't insurgencies and terrorism in those places either? it's until the violent backlach reaches the golden shores of Europe, that's when the issue truly actualizes for the Western man and woman.

I grew up in the south. Ive seen more than my share of anti-islamic people. At one point when i was very young i got indoctrinated into that since i was a kid during 9-11.
But then i grew up and met new types of people and got an education about what the religion was about. So i know their thinking and many of them are programmed to think this way

I don't see this brought up enough. Let's stop treating Islam as a monolith when it's clearly not. Foundational texts are extremly varied both in essence and context and in each issue you can walk out of it with different conclusions. Many peaceful interpretaions of Islam not only existed but thrived in various parts of the muslim world
