This is a 10/10 album. I have said before that the run of tracks from 2-12 would absolutely dust the vast majority of rappers’ entire discographies in a Versuz. The beats have aged like fine wine, and Jigga’s bars remain A1. This is the album that really proved Hov hadn’t just caught lightning in a bottle by chance with RD.

Can’t even begin to pick a best track: Takeover, Izzo, Girls Girls Girls, U Don’t Know, Heart of the City, and Song Cry are all right up there for me. But you could pick any song on this album and love it.
