the 'right wing' media frames the protests as violent attacks on america and its values in order to create reactionary sentiment

I don't live in America, but I can definitely say that this view of whites as innate oppressors and black people as innate victims is a self fulfilling prophecy. Black people may be victimised today, but they don't have to be, and to say that that is not possible in America is an insult to African Americans most of all, because you are dooming them to an indefinite state of victimhood.
