2010s>>>> sadly. Over half of the sports from the 2000s are in blurry ass standard definition lol

It's gonna be an unpopular opinion here but I actually prefer the 2000's for rap.

I love Kanye and Kendrick's music and half of Drake's music in the 2010's but wasn't all that impressed with all facets of hip hop.

2000's had some low points but prime Wayne's whole run, Ye's first 4 albums, GRODT, TES, DOOM's run, Stillmatic, Supreme Clientele, Blueprint, MOTM, TM101, and Donuts alone make up for it.

I revisit much more 2000's hip hop classics than 2010's classics. But I do consider MBDTF and TPAB to be higher quality than almost every 2000's rap album.

    Correct

  • I slightly prefer the 2010s off the strength of the late 2000s layover of the blog era since that's when i was most active in checking for new music.

2000s in everything. No competition really. Prime Kanye, Jay, Em, Wayne, 50, TI, Luda, DOOM, Nas, Nelly etc... compared to Drake, Cole, Kendrick, Future, Young Thug, Tyler, Rocky? lol no offense

Pop had real anthems too R&B(Usher) Latin music(reggaeton) rock had those make me wanna kill myself in middle school anthems

Don't even get me started on movies, sports etc..

2000's was also the peak of club bangers that have stood the test of time: Yeah!, Hot N Herre, In Da Club, Gold Digger, Get Low, Tell Me When To Go, Lollipop, Grindin, Ignition Remix, The Way You Move, Move B****, Lean Back, Baby Boy, Dirt Off Your Shoulder, etc.

A lot of 2010's club bangers didn't age well in hindsight. NIP is the most timeless club song from the 2010's imho but the rest are hit and miss.

Edit: My teenaged cousin and her friends be playing throwback songs to party to sometimes and a ton of 2000's songs like Crazy In Love, Gold Digger, Yeah!, etc. get played. A lot of party songs that were huge in the 2010's like All Black Everything, My Way, Panda, Gucci Gang, B**** Don't Kill My Vibe, etc. get zero play almost like they never came out.

    2000s

By the 2010s we all learned that football players are killing themselves for entertainment

At least the 2000s allowed me to be ignorant about it

I didn’t really get into music like that until the early 2010s but I have an appreciation for the 2000s and the 90s.
