i guess theyre too tall? to me the defining feature of a chelsea boots is the elastic shaft

imo they wrong boot type altogether, but i know sites will tack on the chelsea label for anything with the elastic

chelseas usually like an ankle boot, style like wyatts or some from ftf, with with an elastic shaft

I’m tired of the fake goth look already tbh

Most people never wore this look before 2021 Carti did tbh and it’s mostly just baggier versions of mid-late 2010s vetements s*** aesthetically and silhouette wise

Seems like everyones obsessed with dressing like they’re from y2k Europe and if were being honest to an extent this is just the sad boys aesthetics just reformulated, even when it comes down to the low quality pic posts

I’ll easily take 2014 balenci, rick, slp and givenchy over what they’re currently doing

BRO I HAVE NEVER RELATED TO A POST ON KTT2.COM MORE THEN THIS

i was not f***ing with the skinny silhouettes yesteryear tbh

otherwise yeah, colors, texturing, graphics, layering all stinks these days

blurring streetwear and high fashion was a mistake that left the two stripped of their identity

Completely but I think that comes more from older fashion people seeing those collabs work with every trendy artist wearing it and going well we all need to do one of those and that was the biggest misstep

honestly youre focusing on such a specific style thats isnt even that big outside of social media in the current fashion world. i consider the vamp look similar to the suede chelsea boot look, s*** was ass too. i think people are dressing the best ever right now and that will continue later in the future. fashion is always evolving and changing so if you cant get with it why even participate in it. fashion only gets better as it progresses since we will witness new styles come and go while still being able to go back to the classics. the stuff posted in this thread are just trends for that time. i think people miss dressing like that because maybe life was much more simple during that time therefore it was a nice time so they have this association of those fits being good because they felt good/happy.

    Yes

On a more philosophical level, fashion as an “art form” keeps advancing, that’s its purpose, (on a subjective level OP or whoever might disagree but that’s something else), what we have and wear today is (sometimes) subtle nods and references to stuff from the past just like 2010s high fashion was too, there’s no end in sight and if you aren’t down for the ride you can just stay dressing like you did in the past

If you find it boring that’s a reflection of yourself, you’re just in a boring stagnant place in life or a boring stagnant social media echo

Stay youthful and present and you’ll find new ways to reinvent yourself otherwise end up a caricature of the past

the best dressed find ways to wear stuff that is a physical reflection of their personality while still being updated periodically like their knowledge of life and themselves does too

  • Jul 29, 2023

ktt and other fashion forums really started most fashion trends like that in the last 10 years
whatever becomes popular has been on ktt for a year+

  • Jul 29, 2023

most clothes I buy now are either made in the mid 2010s or what was popular on ktt at that time !
old slp, margiela, raf, balenciaga, prada etc
