  • It catapulted Cole into the “Big 3” discussion (not like that wasn’t happening already)

Certified triple plat with no features

    Was nominated for a Grammy

But mainly, it really solidified Cole’s place in the rap game. There were a lot of quotables, and the whole album was basically a timeline about his life and it’s stayed consistent throughout as a theme.

No matter the KTT hate J Cole is still one of the biggest rap artists along with Kenny and Drake in the game.

It’s hard for me to fully listen through it idk why. For FHD I can play it in the background, I can listen to it in depth..

  • Jan 25, 2020

Na he was a joke until FHD. Cole World was hated and Born Sinner was considered mid. He’s still coasting off FHD by the way

Got into a convo about music with this Uber driver not too long ago and he said he thought this was a classic too. He said he was in his 30s

He was saying “Man Cole just so relatable. Like he got the one song on there where he’s talking about losing his virginity. Who can’t relate to that???”

Can’t lie I thought that was hilarious lol

  • Jan 25, 2020

I don’t like Coles music at all but FHD was great

  • Jan 25, 2020

Wet dreams easily one of the worst songs of all time, that s*** is so corny and embarrassing😂 not mad at people calling it a classic although it’s one of those “classics” that’s considered because of its impact more than its quality. It’s a decent to good album though (wet dreams aside)

It definitely gave him stardom and attention at a whole new level. I personally find it to be his second to worst album. Too many underdeveloped ideas and corny lines.

Cole was definitely boring for the longest, but when he dropped FHD he leapfrogged Rocky, Ferg, Sean, Meek and Wale as the undeniable 3rd piece of the big 3

.....That was until Future continued his run and Travis started going pop which closed the gap again as well as Drake just seperating himself completely.
