2017-2018 were both pretty good years. 2018 especially was strong af.

2019 and 2020 were overall weak but the Pandemic was the reason 2020 ended up being s***, everyone was going to drop that year.

2019 had "Molly" by Iann Dior and Bernard Jabs

each of those songs/albums alone makes their respective year worthwhile imo

Astroworld the most overly gassed album of the last decade tho so if you want to penalize 2018 for that, be my guest

i will say 2017 through the start of the pandemic, i can name more individual songs that i like rather than full albums as good as those which were plentiful in the proceeding few years

so in that sense it was a step back

a lot of songs which are really good though and which i honestly return to more than 2010-12 or 13-16 stuff
