just from a cursory look into it i think americans can go so long as they classify their travel as serving one of a few permitted purposes, so you can choose "support for the cuban people" and just save receipts showing you patronized private cuban establishments
narrowed it down to lima, bogota, or havana, mostly because they've got reasonable flight prices and durations lol
