Pace does not correlate with defensive rating, because defensive rating normalizes pace. High pace teams have had good defensive ratings and vice versa.
Bit in the calculation but you can’t correlate defensive possessions of this era to 2008.
SOL Suns were crazy back then would play at I think the 27th slowest pace these days.
The repetitions of course factor in.
Never mind Nurse actually being a better coach than Doc as well especially with Kawhi

Can't land any marquee free agents and Ainge is a horrific drafter despite having a horde of picks every year

2019 Raptors had the best defense since 04 pistons including Kawhi, Gasol/Ibaka, Siakam and Powell all slowing him down and it still took 6 games and all the Bucks role players underperforming.
2020 it was the bubble but same with Adebayo Butler Dragic slowing him down plus he sprained him ankle.
Do I think Nets have anything similar to do that not really. On the flip side is of course KD Harden and Irving but I think Bucks can defend them better than most in the league (not that it matters).
Giannis genuinely is one of the best players ever/can be one of the best players ever, it was Bud was misusing him as a wing which he can’t be in offence yet
Raptors defense wasn’t as elite as your making out to be plus the raptors won 4 straight the series wasn’t that close.
The heat forced him to shoot or pass, that’s why they lost. Thinking he’s going to be better at things he’s bad at when where he is at now is 2x mvp and dpoy is just wishful thinking. Nets is a more favorable matchup than philly I agree there, but there glaring weakness for a legit closer i think will be their downfall when playing nets and giannis isn’t that, like Shaq wasn’t either and that’s okay to say that.
