in pemdas after you eliminate the parentheses you go left to right

Parentheses can symbolize multiplication as well so once you do the (2+1) within the parentheses it's now written as 6/2(3)

Left to right it becomes 3(3) = 9

yeah if you write it that specific way that is correct but that's not how its written initially
