The American people as a whole are significantly left on most issues and policies if you didn't know... They just don't have a party that usually represents them under the current law, but over the last 7+ years the Overton window on these issues have shifted in the public discourse by someone like Bernie Sanders becoming a lightning rod for many left policies... And he's very popular himself....

The DNC isn't a pro Palestine party.... The relatively small left wing of the Democratic party has some very vocal politicians of the last 3 years in AOC, Illhan, and Rashida Talib who've spoken out many times against Israel's occupation going back years in the media and whenever they get a chance.... They're actually pretty popular and they'll get coverage when they speak out.

Obviously attacking the press will usually earn ire from the press as well too....
