Most employers certainly look for candidates with college degrees but most people do not actually make a living off of the same field as what their major was in college
It honestly doest matter what you study tbh. If you have the ability to work hard in school, it usually translates well afterwards

But even beyond that going to college doesnt automatically give you the same resources as someone else that went to college that has a support system making it easier for them to live during and after college. Let alone the aspect of getting a good paying job that mostly comes from connections. Especially since most colleges are pretty racist institutions lol
