they just get paid a living wage
With tips and commission some checks are fantastic some are s*** 🤷. I have some checks with 51k in commissionable sales and some with 10k. Thus is the life. Would I rather just have a base salary? Maybe but when you have a good two weeks you would get kinda salty ya know. I’m just spitballing but I don’t think this type of pay should go completely away but should maybe be more protected, maybe capping work weeks for these types of employees at 40 hrs and give mandatory OT for going over 🤷

The idea of getting paid insanely different amounts while working for someone is dumb from a planning your expenses standpoint
