Insane man. I still remember the call i got with the news
I was just going through my text messages rn to see when one of my boys sent me the news. I had put my phone down for a minute, think I was with family at the time.
Couldn't really process the news then and now it's tough to process how quickly time has past since then.
I was shopping for some groceries and my sis texted me.
Felt like I suddenly got zoned out and was in 3rd person. Frantically searched his name on twitter hoping tmz wasn’t the one reporting it.
Ended up forgetting where I put my cart and left the store empty handed

I had my phone in the other room while i was watching a movie. After a while i went to check my phone and had a ton of texts and missed calls. Called my mom back first and she was crying and told me what happened. I refused to believe it.
Man it hit me hard and i was in a funk for a while. Clearly it impacted many of us
“Kobe died wtf”
That text still feels unreal to read a year later. I was sure it was fake until I saw who was reporting it
Then an hour later we find out little Gigi was with him too
man i don’t wanna go through this again. I’ll see y’all later
Rest In Peace to Kobe Bean and Gianna Bryant 💜🕊💛 forever in our hearts

forever love KB 🙏🏽💜
love y’all
Keep a tough face King... go like my ig post douche
Been a long year for me
It’s weird to me
A part of me feels like this year flew by since we heard of Kobe passing, but it also felt like a long ass year with lockdowns and what not. F***ed up year

I was at school and my brother texted me and there was no way I could believe it. Then I read the TMZ article. Went to the basketball courts to take my mind off of what happened and I just couldn't. Cried the whole rest of the day
That whole week everytime I saw Kobe on like ESPN or social media it was hard for me to keep my emotions in check. Then I came home to watch the Lakers Blazers where they had the Kobe tribute with my dad and man I never felt so upset in my life
Never expected a man like Kobe to pass away so suddenly. All we can do is press on and respect his legacy
