When I was a kid we pledged allegiance every morning. You don’t find that extreme?

A bunch of kids every morning pledging their allegiance to a country. Seems like some s*** you’d see in a movie about some f***ed up dystopian future.

Patriotism is fine but nobody likes when it’s forced and involved in every f***ing thing. Why does the national anthem need to be sung at every game? I get if it’s the olympics or even the big games like Super Bowl, that’s it.

National anthem is mid regardless.

White people get to unapologetically be themselves everyday for years but now they have a problem becayse people on the internet call out some weird traditions/history of potential problematic things they got used to lol

That’s what i was referring to...kids do it at school for 30 seconds a day and the rest of us do it once in a while at a sporting event. I mean you can make a case it’s some sort of extreme brain washing tactic but you can believe what you’d like

Canadians also sing their national anthem at sporting events. Do you think they should stop as well?

My point is these things have been traditions for decades and we want to now take it away and u think that’s not gonna piss people off?

your gauge of "is thing x ok?" shouldn't be "are people gonna be pissed off?", it should be "is thing x ok?"
