waiting 4+ years for an album is ridiculous. none of these niggas dropping D’angelo level albums. As consumers we control whats hot. I say we should stop supporting lazy artists (Frank, TDE, etc)

They dont owe us s*** but we also don’t owe them our time and hard earned money when they clearly don’t care about fans enough to even give us an update

Let artists release however frequently they want. It is their art. They don’t owe the people anything except putting out what they feel is their best work

    That last part is key

Y’all spend time making threads and fan pages wondering when they’ll drop

Just let them be go live your life

working 4+ years for an album is not lazy

Dropping a tape every 6-8 months over the same beats with the same flows and the same producers and the same topics is far more lazy than living life and having experiences, then sitting down and using that inspiration by tinkering with a work for years until you have something that is amazing in front of you

music is not (or should not be) a business and the work you craft will only be good if you put time and effort into it

would frank ocean hit like that after 2-3 years if he dropped a tape of freestyles every six months? f*** no

it’s the fact that he comes out with totally fleshed out, meticulous, cutting edge works

I'd much rather artists find inspiration and drop the project they want in 4 years than have guys rush to just push more songs out. This model of just trying to push the artists fast is why so much garbage drops every year now.

Frank is dropping Dangelo level projects tho

and there’s SO MANY artists out there these days that if they dropped every two-three years we would still have more music than we could handle
