he was never the smartest guy but he had the gift of gab so that he was pretty well balanced socially. he could have easily worked in silicon valley in sales or anything else as i've emphasized to "the man" in this thread many times

he ended up going to a s***ty mid tier state school where all that mattered was 4 years of partying and he played rugby so that set him on a bad path

because of his s***ty state school grades and s***ty major (accounting) he didn't get a job after uni. ended up working at a call center for multiple years until he was accepted to the union part of the electric company (where his dad also works as a lineman)

i think he just never had self confidence to step outside of his comfort zone, both of his own doing and his upbringing. plus the environment working s***ty jobs will kill dreams. irish american northeast people are emotionally abusive alcoholics who only know how to show tough love

that's why he still lives in our home city and works this "safe" job while barely being able to save money, he's scared but loyal to his evil family. his alcoholic mom died in college and he feels responsibility to his older sister and even his dad, who he doesnt even talk to, in some way i'm sure

all i wait for now is the IG message that he impregnated some ugly townie further ruining any chance of escaping his abusive cycle for good. that'll be the final chapter on what NOT to do as a stupid American
