To be fair, you have to have a very high basketball IQ to understand the NBA game. The skill level is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of both eye test and advance a***ytics most of the offensive and defensive schemes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also a Tank Commander’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into their characterisation - their personal philosophy draws heavily from Bill Simmons literature, for instance. The fans of r/nba understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these ball players, to realize that they're not just really good - their determination says something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike NBA BASKETBALL and don’t understand it truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the importance of in LeBron’s existencial catchphrase "Smiling through it all can’t believe this is my life," which itself is a cryptic message which is a reference to his staring in Space Jam 2. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Adam Silver's genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them. 😂 And yes by the way, I DO have a Black Mamba #8 and #24 tattoo. RIP. And no, you cannot see it.
