FundamentaIsI worked at a high school and I made it a point to never discourage a kid from going to college ever, even when they were clearly unprepared because of how s*** the high school was. So Im never going to tell kids to not go for it. But there need to be better transitional programs, resources at universities, and larger cultural changes

Do you have any ideas on how to make this happen?
I’m of course nit asking you in particular to do anything but how can they implement these things

Yeah if it's mainly the environment and people around you that are similar it'd be harder to spot the difference. But between our own living conditions and certain other things I noticed in myself that I could clearly compare to some of my classmates, I could put 2 and 2 together lol. My mom was raising myself and my newborn brother alone at the time as well so I just didn't wanna add any stress to what she was already dealing with
