DemieI disagree. In modern society the love of the sport also is includes the love of the money that the sport can provide. Lot of players in many sports come from humble backgrounds and need to support their families.
I don’t have an issue with your second point but how would you implement this? If someone has a poor game/series wouldn’t you want the journalist to ask the questions on what has happened?
I’d like to hear how the format can be improved to make it easier for the athlete.
not sure how it would work...maybe allow the athletes to see the questions beforehand and choose which ones to answer or something. journalists gonna get their takes off anyways
guarantee you if all sports eliminated media interviews and replaced them with more commercials nobody would give a s*** tho. every once in a while somebody says some dumb s*** but most answers are completely generic and uninteresting
