Our path to contention is whatever/whenever we want it to be
Our core is so young and we have so much draft capital stacked up that we can trade for basically anyone or any pick that we want over the next 5 or so years
Shai and Dort already hit, but if Giddey also hits we're just one draft away + a few key trades from contending immediately
You can not trade for anyone man lol. If the prospect is highly coveted no matter how many draft picks you offer, you won’t get him.

Dort might be a role player but he's a top 3 perimeter defender in the league already with an improving 3 point shot, aka an integral piece to a championship team
If Giddey is as good as the NBA seems to think he will be, we'll have an elite trio with Shai and 2 guard/forward hybrids + 17 first round picks to either accumulate more young talent or trade for established talent
Our path to contention is a lot clearer than yours and we also don't have to build around a guy who can't dribble or shoot, instead we get to build around an elite isolation scorer and shot creator who is also a great playmaker
