vamppire attacks are when new protocols copy old code from other more established brands for example what happened with Uniswap when sushi swap launched

they created a SUSHI token then paid people to move their Liquidity from UNI to SUSHI bc of these huge % APY free tokens just for parking your money in them

still happening with most DEXes as there's so much competition
