Funny you guys mention Oktoberfest in Argentina as I was looking at that earlier today
Interesting to read as Germans migrated to South America after they were promised land but were declined after they arrived. Happened after WWI or 2 can’t recall and they formed a population and that’s why you may see German influences in some countries. Even formed their own city with German architecture

Germans settled in CĂłrdoba and Patagonia. a lot of former Nazis, though you're probably thinking of Operation Paperclip, where the US brought in top Nazi scientists
