Donda has some cool s*** on it but if you ranked his discography it's only above JIK which is at the very bottom

say what you want about the album musically but it sold over 300k in half a week that’s objectively great sales

    But BLOCKBUSTER?

The antics and bullshit that came with it were the news. Couple good songs for sure. But an album showing undisputed goat? Come on

  • Sep 28, 2022

honestly 2021 the first year that Kanye and Drake both dropped and Drake had a better project (2018 was a push, pun intended)

Stop bro he had the heart in his head for a full year, kept “delaying” the album and hyped it the whole time. People were talking about CLB for 8+ months before it dropped it wasn’t a surprise

Lol he’s not the only one who I’ve seen saying that, like bro we weren’t in a coma during 2021 when ppl had CLB usernames

Coochie definitely one of them niggas that started listening to rap in 2015. Back to Back probably the first song that made him fall in love with rap music.

This, but change the year to 2020 and the intro to rap to Whole Lotta Red for anyone who thinks DONDA was AOTY tier

  • Sep 28, 2022

Like every year over 21 you are saying DONDA was AOTY (or, god forbid, top 5 Kanye) is exponentially more embarRasing

  • Sep 28, 2022

Drake doubled what donda did pretty easily so idk how he proved that lol

  • Sep 28, 2022

    Fact

  • Sep 28, 2022

Had everyone tuned into 3 separate listening events and the first 2 the music was ass, yet by the 3rd one it still kept growing in viewers

Then did the Larry Hoover show and quite literally reminded niggas that he is on another level than everyone else

  • Sep 28, 2022

Kanye literally begged to go against Drake then lost

Only with him would KTT twist that story into being an undisputed goat

i’m not arguing if it was the greatest album of all time i argued that it was a blockbuster

  • Sep 29, 2022

Kanye didn’t need Donda to prove who the undisputed GOAT is. He already did that the second College Dropout released.

  • Sep 29, 2022

Its better than TLOP i can tell you that

Cool 7/10 album his best since yeezus besides ksg

Too bad he had to ruin it with d2

  • Sep 29, 2022

OP preaching. Niggas ain’t going to really admit it till he gone tho.

Define blockbuster album. Low sales literally 0 hits and pretty much a dud outside a couple cool songs lol

Blockbuster = everyone has heard it or listened to it when it came out or everyone was talking about it

Anywho, of course Kanye is the goat of music so inherently he will also be the goat of hip hop too.

    Kanye
    Radiohead
    Daft Punk

Some of my favs. Beyoncé new album is up there I’m excited to see part 2 and part 3 of Beyoncé’s Renaissance era.

    Everyone
    300k

    Pick one

It was the number 1 album in over 150 countries on Apple Music. That’s a blockbuster. It doesn’t matter if it’s not the most popular album in America

It had like 20 million streams viewing the live sessions I think and that means over 20 million people saw the live stream. I know people who had parties so a bunch of people were watching a single stream. This means that it’s likely that more than 20million people watched the live streams.

Also Donda was streamed over 60 million times in no time. So as for your 300K, sorry but “album sales” these days does not equal the amount of listeners and actually album sales have never given us the tally of listeners. Because lots of people listen to their friends albums, not everyone buys every album.

Especially today, it’s very easy to “fake” album sales numbers by having “zombie PCs” constantly streaming an album on repeat.

I’m sure hundreds of millions of people have heard Donda.
