Even if Michigan State was the top 5 team most people thought they were going to be, I still don't think it would be enough. The highest KenPom team on their remaining schedule is Appalachian State (101) and that's the only game (currently) they have left against a top 150 KenPom team.

They did beat Southern Illinois which is a top 100 KenPom team, but other than that their resume is pretty bare and they don't really have an opportunity to make it better. I think they're going to need to win the Sun Belt Tournament to make it in unless they go undefeated the rest of the regular season
