Huge smokepurpp come back. Trust
Got a Desert Eagle and it’s Fortnite Because I really, really, really wanna blow pipe
This is actually a very well thought out list. If the year is like this it might be kinda crazy.
That Saba x No ID album is a lock for AOTY contender. I'm surprised How to Impress God didn't get talked about more

Saba always drops pretty good projects
His last album was a small step down from Care For Me which was phenomenal, but it was still quite good
Let me see, which one of the pre-2018 rappers will deliver because none of the rappers that came through during the following 6 years are able to give us something worthwhile ........
Chance and someone else from that era we not even thinking of will have breakout years again
Rio da Yung OG blows up
Sahbabii takeover
Carti drops mid
Chief Keef drops classic
More legendary rapper/producer collabs
A rapper that's in that semi underground huddle (Denzel Curry, Joey Badass, Kenny Mason, Smino, etc.) drops an album that is R&B coded and takes them to the next stratosphere.
The 2020s of Hip Hop will truly start this year and a bunch of new cats will pop up to carry the transition
A new genre that will replace Hip Hop in the next decade, will have its origins and beginnings this year. It's going to be hella radical and different to what we're use to.
Drake, still bitter from the lyrical asswhooping and in his feelings even more after Kendrick's Superbowl, will find his own version of Kanye or better yet a capable rapper that can hold his/her own. This will also keep him relevant in the next couple of years.
The West will have the same reign on top that ATL had
Kendrick drops another album after the Super Bowl performance, making him the Artist of the Year again. Album is sonically better than GNX.
Frank surprise drop after years of being away but at first it doesn’t hit listeners the way that his previous albums did and will be called a let down.
Carti next album becomes the highest selling rap album that year and he gets his #1 single.
Drake and PND drops and it’s just ok but his fans will gas it up. There will be a mini sub on there about Kendrick and even Hov
Hov gets another allegation on his name and he will go down the russell simmons route and disappear.
Kanye drops BULLY (won’t be called that) and it’s his best sounding album since Donda 1 but no one cares as he won’t do much promo for it. An allegation will make people despise him.
Doechii drops another classic, cementing her as a top tier artist.
Clipse album is perfect from front to back.
Beyonce drops Act III which will be a soulful album.
Rocky goes to jail and doesn’t drop the album.
Got a Desert Eagle and it’s Fortnite Because I really, really, really wanna blow pipe
Wish i could hear those bars for the first time again
My predictions:
West coast keeps being on top and continues making these internet-only "rap fans" cry and cope

j cole officially announces his retirement, press release from interscope and all
glorilla and sexyy red joint album creates hits for months
ken carson almost sells over 100k on his next album
kai cenat compilation album
the industry tries to enforce the “west coast resurgence” narrative, doesn’t work
cardi b album release gets stepped on, leads to twitter rant
JID does a song with a female act and it goes top 10
even more complaints of lack of male stars in the genre
multiple reference tracks for rappers leak, has people questioning if everything is a lie
sade releases an album and kendrick is on it
tidal shuts down, spotify ends free tier
longtime rap media outlet shuts down for good
nas x dj premier album has a biggie verse
on the radar partners with paramount and becomes the new version of rap city
biggie’s singles are rereleased without diddy adlibs for sync placement reasons
jay z diss record
Carti has a #1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 with him as the main artist.
he’s dominating next year

That On The Radar one is dope. I think they're the perfect platform to do that. In terms of putting on talent and being tapped in, they are the successors of BET Rap City imo.
The other ones I can see happening. That Glorilla X Sexxy Redd collabo album is bound to happen.
DON'T BE DUMB ends up being mid after numerous delays
The Weeknd's new album pales in comparison to After Hours & Dawn FM
I AM MUSIC doesn't not live up to the hype, Carti stans will d***ride it for a few weeks as usual and it will be forgotten about
Drake loses both his lawsuits against UMG & Spotify, the internet endlessly clowns him for it. In a fit of rage, he purposely leaks the Drake x PND collab album as a means to get back at his label in some weird way. Probably does a tour with PND to promote it, retires from music and sticks with being a fulltime degenerate gambling streamer on Kick
Freddie Gibbs completes the Trilogy with Madlib with Montana and it ends up as another classic
GNX deluxe releases in 2025
My predictions:
