It’s levels to this s***. If Clipse does win over Kendrick, which I don’t think is impossible, it will represent a major shifting of the goal posts. Commercial success isn’t everything and I respect that the Clipse album has its following but GNX is a more dynamic record and artistically on the same level if not higher. Clipse getting RAOTY and bad bunny winning AOTY is worse case scenario to me. Imo Kendrick deserves both. It’s time for a rapper to take home the top prize it’s a joke that it has never happened (Lauryn and 3 Flutes don’t count)

Hip hop been done dirty not winning AOTY through the incredible years of its dominance. Both in the artistic prime of 2005-2015 the commercial prime of 2017 to 2023 it was shut out. Should’ve been multiple rap albums that won from 2005 to present and it’s always an excuse why it can’t win that year
