Read this s***. I don’t understand the thought process at all?
20-year-old man who pleaded guilty to raping 4 teen girls will face no jail time, judge says prison would not be “appropriate.” Christopher J. Belter admittedly raped four girls, each aged 15 or 16, at his wealthy family’s upscale home, located in one of the priciest neighborhoods of Lewiston, N.Y., between Feb. 2017 and Aug. 2018. Youths dubbed Belter’s home the "party house."
The fourth victim testified in court in August that she focused on the leaves of a plant in Belter’s room while she cried during the assault. Belter told the victim to “stop being such a baby” and if she stopped resisting, it wouldn’t hurt as much.
“I agonized… I’m not ashamed to say that I actually prayed over what is the appropriate sentence in this case. Because there was great pain. There was great harm. There were multiple crimes committed in the case,” said Niagara County Court Judge Matthew Murphy Murphy before sentencing Belter to 8 years of probation. "It seems to me that a sentence that involves incarceration or partial incarceration isn't appropriate, so I am going to sentence you to probation."
Belter pleaded guilty in 2019 and received a sentence of two years interim probation, with the chance to earn youthful offender status and not have to register as a s***offender. Interim probation is a “test” to see if defendants can be successful on regular probation. If they ‘pass’, defendants are usually granted no jail time and a shortened probation.
Belter admitted last month to violating the interim probation by installing software on his computer to bypass a content block that prevented him from viewing p***ography, reported Buffalo News. Belter told his probation officer he has been watching p*** since he was 7. "He has recently been treated with medication to lessen his libido," Judge Murphy wrote in a decision denying him youthful offender status.
"There were none no consequences… He is privileged, he comes from money, he is white," a victims lawyer, Steven Cohen, said of Belter. "He was sentenced as an adult, appropriately. For an adult to get away with these crimes is unjust.”
Asked for his client's reaction, Cohen said, "She's in the bathroom throwing up."

Reminds me of that college case where dude raped a girl and the judge said some s*** like "No jail time, cause it would ruin his life"
Like bro broke his interim probation and STILL got away what more do you need man
Him not being on the s***offender list is insane. This is so f***ed up
he is tho
Makes me sick bruh. And yall wonder why most women don't come out running to police to report rape?
They went through all of this s*** and still didn't get anything in return.
The judge can just do this? I feel like judges in general have way too much power. Like they literally have nobody to check them in the court room.
And another depraved, sick criminal freak walks free.
Not that I agree with all their stuff, but he wouldn’t be able to walk if he did that in an Islamic country.
