Years ago when it makes sense for him ? Sure but even then it's not really a 'leak' if Drake himself or his team drops the s***.
Situation is simple, Metro has been taking working with Drake and getting his bars and verses for granted for years, while not really biggin him up the same way he does Future, Weekend or some other heavy hitters.
Drake petty enough to notice this and went somewhat cold on him and started just treating him like another producer, so he cool with him but isn't gonna sign off on everything blind unless he really feels like it.
I can understand both reactions and not everyone has to be cool with each other. The corny retweets and leaking OG versions of other songs is Metro doing too much though. Just keep it pushing.

KEYSMaybe when Metro claimed he couldn’t get a sample cleared that was him ofuscating that one of the issue was he couldn’t get Drake verse cleared for trance.
If the recent timeline claims are to believed then seems he probs gave Drake trance for HNM, Drake didn’t use it Metro thought no probs I want it for my album but then Drake wouldn’t clear his verse. That could easily explain the animosity.
On the recent ovo show when Drake and 21 did an “interview” (just speaking to each other) they discussed upcoming work and 21 said “you know I’m gonna be on my brother metro album” (iirc) and Drake just skipped over, didnt mention metro. Very innocent at the time but maybe also a hint that he didn’t say anything about metro as normally Drake always positive / bigs people up if he’s cool with them
