only way it adds up is if Jimmy character was abused but that is a f***ing INSANE thing to throw into a zombie movie

I lived thru the movie, people’s infatuation with it and all that.
I think it gets considered a classic due to the score, the ambiance, the vibes.
But the plot in and of itself is super tropey and thin.
Imo, it’s simply a cult classic / nostalgia classic.

It is really that bad of a thing if it’s more of a cult classic than a criterion classic? I still love it and lots of other zombie flicks
