niggas think if they don’t have an opinion on every single popular rapper they gonna lose their ktt account or something

  • BrickellBayside

Bruh imagine hearing Ambitionz for the first time in 96’

F*** me. Still blows my mind. Especially after surviving the shooting in NY.

Pac was a different animal. Lol @ people trying to discredit his unparalleled legacy in rap.

  • BrickellBayside

You can run tha streetz witcho thugzzz

    Underrated cut.

His entire discog has no many underrated gems.

  • BrickellBayside

So many battlefield scars while driven in plush cars..

His imagery is amazing. His pen is incredible to me. Can tell he read a lot of books (he was an avid book worm).

    not really.

    makaveli reviews:

    vs mbdtf reviews:

    huge difference

Why we comparing Ye and Pac? Different genre tbh

Ye was always going to get amazing reviews with how much he pushed boundaries and experimented with sounds. He’s a genius and an artist. But he’s not a rapper in the same sense that Pac was.

    whose alt

    Whose mans

All Eyez on Me and 7 Day are certified classics that were finished before his death

if you wanna criticize Until the End of Time and Better Dayz do you but they're posthumous releases

Better Dayz and UTEOT are both amazing posthumous releases, as is R U Still Down

wtf is this supposed to prove tupac also didnt win any grammy's and we all know why. The media villified and sabotaged him at every turn. They were even mocking him after he got shot at quad. He was a black panther whom they perceived as a gangster rapper and threat They did the same s*** to Jimmy Hendrix. You hypocrites swear by the same racist institutions you resent come award season only when its convenient

Pac was a forward thinking rapper. But hip hop journalism wasn't as evolved back then. Imagine if an album like Killuminati came out today. Instant rave reviews.

by the time 2pac died, the grammy's had only been awarding best rap album for 7 years

lol it's unbelievable a "rap fan" would try and talk about The Rolling Stones rating of 7 day

Pretty sure that a lot of music publications have reassessed it and recognised its brilliance.

No other album has the transition from TLADILA into Blasphemy. That s*** is INCREDIBLE.

Imagine thinking Pac is copying and pasting lyrics when he penned a verse like this:

My family tree consists of d*** dealers, thugs and killers
Strugglin', known to hustle screaming, "Fuck they feelings!"
I got advice from my father, all he told me was this
N***a, get off your ass if you plan to be rich!
There's ten rules to the game, but I'll share with you two
Know n****s gon' hate you for whatever you do
Now, rule one: get your cash on, M.O.B.
That's Money Over B****es, cause they breed envy
Now rule two is a hard one: watch for phonies
Keep your enemies close, n***a, watch your homies
It seemed a little unimportant, when he told me I smiled
Picture jewels being handed to an innocent child
I never knew in my lifetime I'd live by these rules
Initiated as an outlaw, studying rules
Now papa ain't around, so I gotta recall
Or come to grips with bein' written on my enemy's walls
Promised if I have a seed, I'ma guide him right
Dear Lord, don't let me die tonight
I got words for my comrades, listen and learn
Ain't nothing free, get back what you earned
No doubt, getting higher than a motherfucker, bless me please
This Thug Life'll be the death of me, c'mon, yeah

And I remember what my papa told me
Remember what my papa told me, blasphemy

ppl only say it’s bloated bc they haven’t listened and want to enter a conversation about someone they haven’t really listened to like that

Pac is GOAT but the first two albums are kind of mid. Great songs but as a whole there are a lot of skips. He truly found his sound on MATW - 7 Day Theory. Thug Life is solid though

    Respectable opinion. I haven’t played S4MN or 2Pacalypse in a while.

Still, MATW, AEOM and TDK >>>>>>>>

yea but to say his discography is bloated in the fast food era of rap just feels like you’re talking out your ass

i’m not saying all of his music is good or he doesn’t have mid : filler on his albums. but ppl throw away his whole discography as if every song is California Love or Hail Mary

even his first two are are decent and have at least one or two hits

but that three album run is so good. may not be for everyone but they’re just so good
