The shootings in our cities, the epidemic and it’s massive effects on the people, the clear attacks on our people by crooked cops and racists, the people taking the power into their hands to fight for what’s right, crooked politicians like Trump, etc

A lot is going on. I always loved this album, even though it was dark, but the content on it is time less.

Even when Tupac is reflecting on his own pain, anger, and depression throughout the album we can feel him, cause that’s how we feel now, his energy is flowing through everyone right now.

And when he’s talking about what’s going on around him, death of homies and shootings, r.i.p. Pop Smoke, Nick Blicky, Houdini, Kj Balla, and all other niggas who died to gang violence or envy. The crooked cops and racist is clear, we get stepped on till we can’t breath, we get shot in our sleep, we get shot for jogging, crooked politicians posting on twitter instead of being a f***ing leader

And the people taking things in their own hands to fight for what they believe in over all oppression embodies Tupac’s message in his life and Me Against The World

Everyone should go listen or revisit this album in this wild time, or even his whole discography

    This verse was nuts

    With all this extra stressin'
The question I wonder is after death, after my last breath
When will I finally get to rest through this oppression?
They punish the people that's askin' questions,
And those that possess steal from the ones without possessions
The message I stress: to make it stop, study your lessons
Don't settle for less, even the genius asks his questions
Be grateful for blessings, don't ever change, keep your essence
The power is in the people and politics we address
Always do your best, don't let the pressure make you panic
    And when you get stranded
And things don't go the way you planned it
Dreamin' of riches, in a position of makin' a difference
Politicians are hypocrites, they don't wanna listen
If I'm insane, it's the fame made a brother change
It wasn't nothin' like the game, it's just me against the world
