i'm saying 500,000 = gold, and half way to platinum is a weird way to say the same thing

These songs sold 500k which is gold. One mil is platinum. So these three songs need another 500k to be plat.

i'm aware but i just think it's funny to say half way to plat when saying Gold

1) Denotes something that was already accomplished and

2) gets across the message that it's half way to plat anyway

The song itself no, the lyrics on the verses are some of the worst on the album tho. Very half baked lyrically on the first verse and the lyrics and delivery on verse 2 fall flat as well
