T is an artist that’s somewhat mainstream with more of a core fan base than anything. His strengths lie in his tours, merch sales and selling out carnivals.

For mainstream artists, numbers matter because when you have a sizeable fanbase that can translate to good enough numbers in the first week, that proves that if they're still consuming your new album (which they would if it's really as good as they claim it is), it'd be reflected in the numbers. It's not that hard to understand.
If Tyler's album was pulling 100K every week, y'all would point to the album's quality as the reason why but now that it's not doing that, all y'all have are excuses. F*** outta here with that s***.

You could say the same thing about Olivia. She's been the biggest story of the year and her album isn't doing that well off just one or two songs. People are actively streaming the entire album (which only has 11 songs by the way).
