i smashed up my two smart devices and resorted to getting a dumb phone. i understand that destroying two electronic devices was pretty dumb in itself (pun intended) but... s*** like it has such a choke hold on my mind that i just couldn't take it anymore.
Anyhow... since then i have been hitting the library everyday and reading books like it's going out of fashion. i got a psp go for games and my music library and a couple of movies which are goodfellas and true romance.
i have been diagnosed with ADHD and i probably have autism too. i often think in extremities i just done away with a smartphone for now as it's all too consuming in my experience and taking me away from irl experiences.
i have spent more time outdoors and interacting with folks and even managed a ONS who was graceful enough to let me smash to in a silent way by miles davis (favourite miles davis project btw) i'm not gonna turn this into a brag thread though and i don't even know her name so a pic request is way out of the question lmao.
peter thiel can suck the biggest, thickest, juiciest, and unadulterated d*** too and anyone who stans him can join in on von. Zuckerfuck can get some sloppy too the prick.
fire away with your queries!

How have you been listening to music?
PSP Go (with a 8GB Memory Card) has roughly 24GB worth of storage, so i have my music library which i have accumulated throughout my life stored on there with wired headphones of course to complete the aesthetic
Hope u can stick with it once the novelty passes and u gotta deal with having a s*** phone
I do think it would be incredibly freeing

for the first week i would have intrusive thoughts and wanted to google this most random s*** imaginable and overtime this has decreased and as you highlighted there is a sense of freedom in all this.

This gif is so cliche loops back around to where who ever uses it is that person it's talking about
hey whatever works for you bro
the real goal is to build up a level of discipline to where owning one won't be your downfall

No reason for me to own one if I don’t subscribe to any of the slop algorithm apps
when are you releasing mr morale

Alrighty.

This is near impossible for the average person… billions of dollars of funding and research have gone into making phones/apps as addicting and attention grabbing as possible. It’s way easier to just opt out altogether
I would love to do this but I need my banking, gps, email and music apps lol
How come?
iPod classic for music
Take out cash to use each month for spending
Actually bought a gps bc I’m so dependent and wish I could use a damn map lmao
How come?
Idk man I guess I’m just used to having them and the thought of losing direct access to them sounds super inconvenient…. That said maybe I’m just overly reliant on convenience
Ya I went on a hike without my phone recently and it was an awesome f***ing feeling. I just thought about getting rich the whole time lol.
Not sure about the library part... I only read if it's information that I need to know which I can just use the internet for when necessary.
I feel like as long as you don't doom scroll you can be fine with a smart phone I mean it's amazing technology that's meant to be used as a tool. I would take a break from having a smart phone for like a day maybe but I don't see the point of not owning one...
Also how the hell is 8GB or 24GB enough storage for your collection of music?

I feel you.

I’ve used the 260gb iPod since 2009 and it’s more than enough
