This album feels like "post tour with MIKE" 454. Very clearly can feel his more kaleidoscopic sound taking shape within 454's realm

Like where Mike reaches back and pulls a lot of recordings, older music and soul samples and s***, seems like 454 is doing a similar approach with southern signifiers. He takes a lot after project pat and Tommy wright III on this imo

Not as bright and bubbly but the laser focus is still there.

They all are definitely inspired by each other and you can hear it span across their respective new releases

But a good 10-15 of these tracks are actually older tracks of his, most of which have been played on NTS radio or instagram live in some capacity prior to him touring with MIKE and all of them

Oh that's crazy actually. Well im glad that he's in a place in his artist's journey where he can go BACK and it's still super fresh, never really would've known
