Miss this era because of nostalgia more than anything but this album was meh. Has gems & some or his biggest songs he’s ever released but definitely overall a bloated mess.

His last good/great project (DLDT is also up there, but everything since has been shameful overall)

i’m not usually an “look outside people are listening! it’s valid” but this dropping right before canada day that year was so crazy

side A would have been a classic album

but then side b happened

Was in Seattle on vacay when this dropped. Still remember the IG post with the track list and seeing it was a double album. Besides Views, probably the biggest hype for a Drake album I’ve ever experienced. Knew IMF would be a hit right away lol

KTT1 days, I remember the fake track list right before the album that had 18 songs. We knew he had a MJ feature and folks were claiming it was some random MJ song he sample called dancing in the rain or something.

Still remember Drakesheart saying that if Drake confirmed that the baby was his on the album that she would leave KTT, and she’s been gone since 😂😂😂

What a time this was. This is a good album and a top 5 Drake project for me. This is maybe the most important project of the post Views era for Drake so far. I kind of feel like his legacy was almost on the line given the Push situation and he delivered a massive album with massive hits. This showed that he really couldn’t be stopped regardless of what people say. The music spoke for itself. So many good songs from this album. My top 5 a few years later:
