one of his most iconic songs: My Favorite Things.

This is one of the greatest jazz recordings of all time. It’s straightforward and catchy enough for jazz beginners. Coltrane’s playing is also just experimental enough to keep jazz snobs interested. Elvin Jones and Steve Davis lay the perfect foundation on drums and bass, respectively. The one and only McCoy Tyner shines on piano, but he keeps it tasteful. If you have ~15 minutes of free time today, listen to this classic.

  • Damn we’ve only had this recording around for 60 years, thats crazy
