Chris Paul is from North Carolina and went to school in North Carolina. The sample is from a school in Charlotte, NC. At the time it didn’t really mean anything but now with Ye talking about CP3 f***ing Kim that sample could be/probably was a little jab at Ye saying I know what CP3 did to your wife.
Plus the pictures of him with the Chris Paul jersey. This diss just x1000 crazier now
Edit: I’m probably reaching with this one but his selection of the city is a good one too. Chris Paul used to play for the New Orleans Hornets. They used to be the Charlotte Hornets before they moved to New Orleans then relocated back to Charlotte. I could see that being another subtle nod as well.

Wow and there are so many lines that are rhyming “e” he easily could’ve ended any of them with “cp3,” imagine the anxiety listening to that for the first time if you were afraid he was going to say something
