I’m not joking when I say that this song genuinely changed my life

I am not who I am today without this album

I listened to it when it came out but I really discovered it this year. I read everything about it, saw the short film, read the screenplay and realized how deep and sincere this project is. It’s even more important now than it was back then.

Classic, the amount of nostalgia I have for this project is unprecedented

Bino has definitely evolved as an artist since this album but this era's gotta be one of my favourites from any artist

the screenplay, live performances, interviews, down to his tweets, everything was part of the album. Don't think there's been anything like it since.

Classic album from a guy who turned out to be one hell of an artist. As much as I love this album if you would have showed me what would eventually come next, I wouldn’t have believed you. This was the record that started it all though. I know he dropped several projects before but THIS was the one that made him THE ARTIST known as Childish Gambino and it suddenly became increasingly difficult to separate all that he does from all that he is.

They take over people's bodies in the Sweatpants video

The Boy and his aliens do some type of ritual dance in the woods in the Urn video

3005 video shows that The Boy doesn't age and keeps looking the same while the world around him burns, presumably during an alien invasion

The Telegraph Ave video speaks for itself lol

And the Sober video also supports the alien theory

But that storyline is specific to the music videos. It doesn’t add up to the screenplay and the album. There seems to be multiple timelines : “Clapping for the wrong reasons” and the album blur the lines between CG and the boy, the screenplay is about the boy only and the music videos tell a different sci-fi story.
