The main problem back then was sound banks being exclusive to those synths they used n not nearly as much leaking of the drum sounds

Plugins were sounding like trash and cracks of good ones werent as ready available

You had to have your own style or be professional at copying and w that came connects for good sounds

It didn’t take 5 years, everyone was adapting that sound within a year of Hard in the paint/BMF. Idk when peak internet is to you but it was never hard to find 808s and the other textures weren’t really some exclusive s*** either. It was easy to find Gucci Mane and Lex Luger cracked kits by late 2011
