Sure airport security theater, sure mass surveillance. Dumb and invasive authoritarian s***, but largely does not affect Americans’ day-to-day.

But an estimated $8,000,000,000,000 went towards wars in the Middle East since 9/11. That’s 8 trillion not spent here, and frankly wasted given that things are virtually unchanged, arguably much worse, in the Middle East. Saddam is gone but ISIS and civil wars took his place.

$2 trillion in 20 years was spent in Afghanistan alone. That’s $300million every day for two decades. And we’re right back to square one with the Taliban in charge.

But hey the military contractors and consultants are filthy rich

The US military is incomprehensibly expensive and leaves chaos in its wake everywhere it goes. Then it uses that chaos to justify greater budgets and further interventions.

You could’ve had debtless healthcare, you could’ve had debtless education. Industries could’ve been subsidized and things could be cheaper. But nope. We let our towers get blown up, thousands of people died, hundreds times more were killed because of it - their friends and families radicalized in the process - and the world is overall a more dangerous place. Gotta keep that military industrial gravy train chuggin along 🚂 💨

From the holes left in both towers after “impact” we are supposed to believe the wings sliced clean through the 14 inch steel beams but this is simply impossible. The fragile mostly hollow aluminum wings would not slice through all the 14 inch steel box columns of the WTC towers and leave a Wylie Coyote style hole. An airplane wing can be sliced in half by a wooden telephone pole

I have a tough time believing in holograms and stuff like that. I’ve always been open to cruise missile (especially for the pentagon) or drone tech overriding the hijackers
