Damn what put people onto this idea
The info surfaced after Fanfare Bowl, a track originally intended for Love Everyone leaked. Fanfare Bowl turned into U (Man Like)
Naeem was also heavily rumored to be for Ye under the original title of "I Can Hear Cryin" and there's an earlier version of it out there somewhere.
An early version of Fine Line (which turned into Take Me to the Light by Francis) has lyrics from an i,i song on it, can't remember which one.
Hey Ma dates back years. There's an Allan Kingdom demo of it that exists.
I think the whole thing is a bit of an exaggeration, some people in the leak community have made it seem like i,i was at first ALL for Ye until ultimately deciding to go in a different direction. There's no doubt tho that a ton of demos were passed between the two in 2017/18.

There are a few versions of Naeem in here, including one labelled "I Can Hear Cryin"
Thought that was ye vocals on the Hey, Ma demo here when I first heard them actually, but you're right, it's Allan Kingdom mumbling with some odd ye inflections.
