Yeah played it at young age and opened my eyes on how unique video games were as a medium/what you could do with them.

i dont have enough to hit 9 but...

Runescape - I've been typing 120wpm since I was like 10 years old and its because of all the typing I did while playing this. Also learned about supply and demand because of this game so when I took a 1st year econ class like 8 years later I knew most of the concepts already lol. Finally, I'm pretty sure a lot of my discipline and ability to handle delayed gratification is because of this game.

Pokemon Emerald - I think this is the game that made me really fall in love with video games as a medium. Sure, I had a PS2 and played some stuff on it, but they were just time wasters when I was a kid. I think this was the game that really captured my imagination and had me playing every waking moment.

Halo 3 - I met a dude on this and we've been playing multiplayer games with each other ever since.

Nier Automata - Most thematically cohesive game I've ever played and its the benchmark I use for judging every game.

League of Legends - Still the multiplayer game I've spent the most hours on and I think I've spent 1000+ dollars on the cosmetics. I basically never spend money on games as a service games anymore because of this.

Real for using Nier Automata as a benchmark. I applaud that game so much for trying so many different things and nailing all of it. Masterclass in game design

That halo comparison is on point man. You would be in the same lobby on the same team for hours so y’all talking about everything while also getting good matches in. Last words “add me up”
Then you back at it the next day

  • Games that defined me until I became a young adult

the golden era. my friend from a different country who i played with every day hasn't been online for almost 10 years. we never even got each other's real names. i wonder how he's doing still, or if he'll ever log in again. wish we could go back in time for one day and play Halo 3 again

Thats what I did on mine

Pokemon Stadium 2 - Game I didn't play until College with the roommates. This would get the s*** talking started for the night.

WCW/NWO revenge - One of the first games my older brother and cousins would play with me. Niggas would take turns doing their finisher on me. Few times I remember crying over a video game, Aunt would make us go to bed early lmao

Overwatch - Still play to this day. Love this genre of games.

rest of the games i could say something about but im lazy as s***

There was a time when I kept seeing people say they’ve ruined Tekken 8 but I still don’t get how it’s been ruined lmao

  • Ngl 9 is nowhere near enough for me

  • AKA SB

There was a time when I kept seeing people say they’ve ruined Tekken 8 but I still don’t get how it’s been ruined lmao

I do still enjoy it lol... But it needs more SP/offline stuff though like modes and new story mode stuff for example.

But other than that so do I still play it every time they do add new content to it like characters, stages and costumes for example

But nah the last couple of patches has made it better and believe me it'll be hella active once Yujiro Hanma is out early 2027!
