people aren't complaining about producers sampling hits from the 2000's. They're criticizing the lack of creativity behind finding any ol' 2000's hit song and just looping it's hook as cheap nostalgia to hook braindead music listeners. Allot of these producers might as well be Puff Daddy with how little they care for the art.

sampling actually helps producers discover different artists and genres of music but that comes with actively searching & listening to music which allot of young producers aren't doing.
