Yeah but respectfully Her Loss was better than It’s Almost Dry
Drake has the upper hand rn
that’s subjective but even if true the fact that he’s talking about fashion nova Jimmy and y’all immediately start doing this + s*** like what Drake does on Meltdown
It’s sad that that moment from 5 years ago still lives in yalls head lol
Y’all would kill Meek if he even remotely referenced the beef from 2015 in a non favorable way and drake (and his fans) who played Meeks role in the Pusha beef has been whining about it for 5 years
At this point bro kinda living rent free in Drake and his fans head because he let J prince be his daddy instead of putting out whatever the career ender was
Drake consistently picks great beats
Once I blow up I'll be producing his 40th studio album dedicated to Noah
i havent heard drake on a good beat in years. his last few albums were the same replica copy-paste beat with his cheap ass snares he uses on every song

Production was great on Her Loss tbh
One of the best he's ever hopped on

it’s always so obvious you people never actually listened to any of them when you say s*** like this lol
Masterpiece
We love Drake over here you stans just need to find a goddamn therapist

i really want to like drake (and i do still like his earlier stuff), so i do listen to everything he drops. the last 2 albums were not produced well, but thats my opinion
Production was great on Her Loss tbh

this is a good example of what im talking about. the drums, hihats, and snare are so generic/cheap-sounding on this

I think he was trying to channel the classic Memphis Rap sound but throw he and 40's signature twist on it. As a huge Memphis Rap fan I was really really impressed. Drake does a great job at repurposing Memphis Rap into his sound imo
Like those drums are textbook Memphis and they sampled DJ Paul & Juicy J on there

i mean, thats fair. if that's true and its intentional, and some people are f***in with it, then why not... it just doesnt hit for me personally
Masterpiece

Pusha T still get a chokehold on KTT
If Pusha got a chokehold Drake must have it by the nuts

Jealousy is just love and hate at the same time

Like it's decent enough but one of the richest and best connected rappers in the world still has his audience listening to beats like this?
I guess after listening to Kanye innovate for a decade, Drake's production choices sound really safe. I'm not the biggest fan of Utopia but its production is better than anything Drake has signed off on since 40's peak.
There are probably no more than 100 people
out there in this world still listening to this album

ya i never got that either. how the "biggest rapper in the game" has always had safe/generic beats that a soundcloud rapper could get.
I wish I didn’t like Drake because I’m really not on some Papi Angels s*** I just like good rap music and he has happened to deliver lately lol
You can also do a Bobbi Althoff interview and still act another way in other avenues. He’s a performer. And he’s good at his job
It really doesn’t matter if Pusha’s background is more authentic at this point because they’re both studio gangsters at this juncture of their career. All that matters is the music and Drake’s happens to be better as of recent, and rap is a sport that’s all about what you did lately.
a very logical take here
It's too far gone when the realest ain't real
I walk amongst the clouds so your ceilings ain't real
These niggas Call of Duty cause their killings ain't real
With a questionable pen so the feelin' ain't real
Rap's John Grisham
I can paint the picture with the words if you listen (shh)
The bar's been lowered, the well's run dry
They beefin' over melodies, but no, not I (yugh)
See I'm so top 5

yeah Her Loss largely had very dry and generic production tbh, drake carried a lot of the production on that album

You are correct, that is an opinion. You saying all the production sounds the same is not an opinion, it is objectively false
