i don't know how to put into words how good this record is as a piece of art.
Wait is this u?

yeah i did a review a year ago on it. i forgot what i said but im listening to it.
decent review, too rambly, but i will stand by what i said.
Great album very depressing
yeah i'm not planning on playing it for awhile. i do want to listen soon to reflect on impact.
weird that elverum and yorke suffered similar loss and released cathartic records regarding loss.
It aint even phils best man, chill
i don't think anyone's ever released an album which so vividly describes the grief of a husband losing a wife, in a narrative style. very bold, bodacious attempt to surpass the form of the traditional album.
Great album.
How you feel about You Want It Darker OP? I remember listening to these two albums a lot at the same time and Cohen's always stuck with me more

Carrie and Lowell is up there
Dark ass album but the vocals can get a bit stagnant. Obviously not expecting the guy to be all that but something in the vein of Carrie & Lowell by Sufjan kept each track refreshing.
I mean he probably didn't even make this album for anyone other than himself and those who went through a similar experience so I don't wanna say too much
ngl i listened to it once, thought it was amazing, and decided to never listen to it again cause of how f***ing devastated I was listening to, especially cause how much I could relate to Phil
damn OP is white
...
i thought everybody knew this
they got a meme of me dancing

one of the most painful emotive experiences to listen to. havent listened to it in months because its almost too much to deal with
I can’t listen to it casually b
Soria Moria the only song I can listen to outside the album
the last track on this is insane.
only quibble is maybe pair it with his next record as a double lp.
